Rabbi Simlai expounded: "Why did Moses our teacher desire to enter Eretz Yisrael? Did he need to eat it’s fruit or did he need to sate himself with its bounty?"

Rather this is what Moses said: “There are many Mitzvot that the Jewish people have been commanded that cannot be fulfilled except in Eretz Yisrael.

I will enter the Land so that all will be fulfilled through me.”
